You may also want to try www.familysearch.org to learn more about starting a family history or to search for ancestors.  This site provides free access to the world’s largest family history library.  For local access to their materials, you can visit the Family History Center, 255 Fairwood Hills, O’Fallon, IL.  Their phone number is 618-632-0210.  The center is staffed by volunteers and there is no charge to use it.
